Raleigh, N.C. — A driver was ejected from a car following a crash Wednesday night on Interstate 540 in Wake County.
Authorities said a Toyota was disabled in a merging lane on I-540 near Louisburg Road when it was rear-ended by the driver of a Honda.
The crash caused the Toyota to hit a Cadillac, which crashed into the median.
The driver of the Toyota was ejected from the vehicle and was taken to WakeMed with serious injuries.
The drivers of the Honda and Cadillac were not injured, but authorities said a 6-year-old passenger in the Honda was taken to WakeMed with minor injuries.
Authorities did not say if charges will be filed in connection with the crash.
