Cyient hires new VP of sales for its key Aerospace andDefense unit

MUMBAI: Mid-tier technology company Cyient on Monday announced the appointment of Denise Millard as Vice President of Sales for its Aerospace and Defense (A&D) business unit. The vertical, which is a key revenue contributor for the company saw sharp revenue decline on a sequential basis in the December quarter. The vertical contributed 32.2% worth revenue in the third quarter.

Millard has over 20-years experience and in her new role will be responsible for accelerating sales through growth and expansion in the North American market, the company said. Denise was previously Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Esterline Control and Communication Systems (ECCS), responsible for leadership of sales, business development, marketing, and contract management.

“Denise has demonstrated immense success in developing high-performance sales teams and strategic customer accounts, complex contract negotiation, and business development in new market areas. I am pleased to welcome her to Cyient and am confident that she will be an excellent addition to the leadership team in our aerospace and defense business,” said Anand Parameswaran, Senior Vice President and BU Head, A&D, Cyient.

Cyient reported a muted third-quarter revenue with a drop of 5% year-over-year. The engineering services company attributed the fall to a ‘long-term risk-sharing agreement’ with one of its large clients which required it to provide a one-time discount in the period.
