Corona Art Association offers scholarships for high school seniors – Press-Enterprise

The Corona Art Association invites high school seniors in the Corona-Norco Unified School District service area to apply for its 2021 Maxine Piester Memorial Art Scholarship Program.

Seniors from public and private schools, and home-schooled seniors, who plan to pursue an education in visual or fine art at a community college, technical school or university in the fall are eligible to apply for the scholarships, according to a news release.

Applications must be received or postmarked on or before April 15.

For applications and information, go to www.coronaartassociation.org/scholarship-program.

In addition to offering scholarships, the Corona Art Association plans to celebrate the accomplishments of the class of 2021 by featuring artwork of Corona-Norco Unified School District seniors in the association’s window display in June.

There is no fee to enter art, and the Corona Art Association will supply the art boards students will put their work on. Any medium is welcome, including the written word, as long as it fits on the 11-by-14-inch boards in portrait/vertical orientation and can be pressed against the windows. Photos of three-dimensional work will be accepted.

Students may pick up the art boards during the Corona Art Association’s regular hours, noon-4 p.m. Friday through Sunday, through mid-May. Submissions must be returned before May 23.

The Corona Art Association gallery is at 815 W. Sixth St., Suite 145. For information, go to coronaartassociation.org.
