China's LPG futures drop about 9% at open on trading debut

SHANGHAI, March 30 (Reuters) – China’s liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) futures contract on the Dalian Commodity Exchange fell about 9% on its trading debut on Monday.

Options trading for LPG, a refined oil product used as a fuel in vehicles and for cooking, will begin trading on the Dalian exchange on Tuesday, the first time the derivatives will debut nearly simultaneously on a Chinese commodities exchange. (Reporting by Emily Chow; Editing by Himani Sarkar)
