BEIJING, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) — The following is a summary of published science and technology news of China.

IPR AID INSTITUTIONS

China has extended intellectual property rights (IPR) protection aid nationwide with more than 1,000 institutions, according to the country’s IPR authorities.

China has been highlighting the role of IPR protection aid in safeguarding the rights of the public and innovators by making these institutions reach most regions across the country.

SCIENTIFIC INNOVATION IN LIVESTOCK

Chinese scientists have fostered innovation in the protection and utilization of livestock and poultry breeds during the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-2020), supporting the country’s high-quality development of the animal husbandry industry, the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) said.

China’s meat production reached 76.39 million tonnes and egg production reached 34.68 million tonnes in 2020, both ranking first in the world, said Qin Yuchang, director of the Institute of Animal Science under the CAAS.

BOEING ORDERS IN CHINA

The 737-800 Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF) project in China has received in excess of 150 orders, according to Boeing China.

The 737-800BCF project recently received 12 new orders, showing strong demand for converted freighters in the express delivery and e-commerce market, said Boeing China.
