Check out high-speed internet plans being offered by RailTel Wi-Fi facility at over 4,000 railway stations

Railway passengers can access Wi-Fi facility at 4,000 plus railway stations as launched its prepaid plans offering high-speed internet services.

“RailTel has launched prepaid plans for its Railwire Wi-Fi at 4000 plus Railway stations across India. Going forward, a passenger can use 30 minutes free wi-fi per day at 1 mbps speed at these 4000 plus railway stations. For using the Wi-Fi facility at a higher speed of upto 34 mbps, the user needs to choose a plan with a higher speed by paying a nominal fee,” Indian Railways said in a press statement.

Those who want to access the Wi-Fi can do so by opting for a recharge plan that suits their needs.

Here’s a brief overview of the recharge options:

>Rs 10 for 5 GB data in a day

>Rs 15 for 10 GB data in a day

>Rs 20 for 10 GB data valid for five days

>Rs 30 for 20 GB data valid for five days

>Rs 40 for 20 GB data valid for 10 days

>Rs 50 for 30 GB data valid for 10 days

>Rs 70 for 60 GB data valid for 30 days

The recharge can be done through a number of payment options like net banking, e-wallet, credit cards.

RailTel Corporation of India Limited (RailTel) is a Mini Ratna (Category – I) Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Railways.

Recently, the RailTel Corporation made its debut on the bourses with a 16% premium. The scrip had a decent listing despite a sell-off in the Indian equities.

RailTel already provides free wi-fi service at more than 5,950 stations. Anyone with a smartphone can access wi-fi with an OTP verification.
