Manchester City will be hoping to round off an historic season by adding a maiden Champions League crown to the Premier League title they won in such emphatic fashion earlier this month.

Manager Pep Guardiola has already won Europe’s most prestigious club competition as a manager and a player with Barcelona but opponents Chelsea will provide obdurate opposition.

The Blues have already beaten City twice this season and ruined their chances of an unprecedented quadruple after they emerged victorious from last month’s FA Cup semi-final contest at Wembley.

The showpiece match will be played on Saturday 29 May, with kick-off at 8.00pm UK time.

The game is being staged at the Estadio do Dragao, home of Portuguese club Porto. The match was originally scheduled to take place at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, but UEFA changed the location amid a spike in coronavirus cases.

What TV channel will the Champions League final be shown on in the UK and will it be streamed?

BT Sport will be showing the game in the UK and in recent years they have shown it for free, without the need for a subscription.

It has also been available to stream for free on the BT Sport app, the BT Sport Player on their website and on their YouTube channel.
