Caviar House expands fine dining in the City with Threadneedles Hotel venture

In a new joint venture luxury seafood and caviar business Caviar House & Prunier has opened a new eaterie in the heart of London’s City with the boutique Threadneedles Hotel, a splendidly restored Victorian former banking hall.

The heritage brand, dating back to 1872, provides its own farmed caviar (Prunier) that delivers a sustainable and safe alternative to endangered species in the Caspian Sea.

Featuring selections of Beluga, Osciètre, and Sevruga caviar and fine fizz, the all-day dining concept’s menu also offers special cocktails and gourmet dishes serving bold delicacies such as hand-dived scallops with yuzu-soaked salmon eggs.

With a flagship restaurant on Piccadilly and concessions in Selfridges and Harrods, Caviar House & Prunier director Chris Mehmet observes: “We’ve seen a growing trend for fine dining in the City post-pandemic, especially as more workers return to the office.

“Decadence is back in vogue as more people crave an exceptional and unforgettable dining experience. Our exclusive Caviar Masterclass is another example of this – held at our Piccadilly restaurant, it sold out within hours of going on sale earlier this year.

“The London food scene has shifted to become all about decadence while allowing gourmands to deepen their understanding and appreciation of what they are eating.”

For those seeking a warmer immersive experience, the venue also has a private dining room, a setting with a rich selection of artwork and where an expert team of sommeliers are on hand to take guests through a distinguished wine list.

“In this city of opportunity, every business needs a perfect setting to captivate the discerning clientele that frequents London’s re-emerging financial district,” declares Mehmet.

“Threadneedles Hotel is the ideal backdrop for our first venture in the Square Mile. With a shared vision for excellence and attention to detail, guests can expect nothing short of perfection when embarking on this extravagant voyage of taste.”
