Biggest losers included Silvercorp Metals Inc (TSX:), which lost 5.05% or 0.51 points to trade at 9.58 in late trade. Lundin Gold Inc (TSX:) declined 4.92% or 0.61 points to end at 11.80 and Aritzia Inc (TSX:) shed 4.67% or 1.07 points to 21.83.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 703 to 374 and 100 ended unchanged on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.07% or 1.40 to $1905.00 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.63% or 0.26 to hit $40.86 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.14% or 0.49 to trade at $42.44 a barrel.
CAD/USD was up 0.01% to 0.7583, while CAD/EUR fell 0.37% to 0.6443.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 93.422.
