Biggest losers included Canopy Growth Corp (TSX:), which lost 20.13% or 6.030 points to trade at 23.920 in late trade. Laurentian Bank Of Canada (TSX:) declined 9.14% or 2.86 points to end at 28.44 and Hexo Corp (TSX:) shed 8.60% or 0.080 points to 0.850.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 517 to 514 and 103 ended unchanged on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was up 1.05% or 18.05 to $1731.35 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 4.95% or 1.67 to hit $35.38 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 4.75% or 1.71 to trade at $37.74 a barrel.
CAD/USD was down 0.08% to 0.7259, while CAD/EUR fell 0.27% to 0.6539.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 98.305.
