BVSD offers parent workshops on sexual violence prevention – Broomfield Enterprise


The Boulder Valley School District, in partnership with Moving to End Sexual Assault and Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence, is providing virtual parent workshops in advance of sexual violence prevention lessons that will be taught to seventh and ninth graders.

Students will be taught four lessons in the “Peers Building Justice” curriculum. The virtual workshops, which are open to all district middle and high school parents, will cover the information provided in the lessons and tips for talking to children about the topics.

The workshops are from noon to 1:30 p.m. Monday, 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Wednesday’s workshop also is available in Spanish.
