BRITISH families have been left horrified after a council erected a series of sexually graphic “artworks” on a top tourist beach.
Sculptures of X-rated acts — which we have tactfully covered with sombreros — left holidaymakers blushing.
The raunchy sculptures clearly depicting threesomes and other X-rated sex acts have left holidaymakers not knowing where to look on the Costa Blanca in Spain.
Ex-pat Dave Mills, 73, has lived in the area for 18 years but couldn’t believe it when he saw the risqué pieces appear.
He told The Sun: “Thousands of visitors and locals, including children walk along the ‘passeo’ and will not be able to miss the pornographic elements.
“I definitely won’t be taking my grand-children there.”
‘Bordering on pornographic’
Altea Town Hall is understood to have paid for a local artist to put them up which has been greeted with horror by Brits in the area.
Holidaymaker Andy Mansell said he saw an elderly lady looking quizzically at the art — and “almost fell on her a**e” when she worked it out.
He followed up saying: “Some are obvious, others are indecipherable and a few are bordering on pornographic.”
Sally Ann Nolan added: “It’s a curious choice for a public, family strolling area.”
But one woman, who did not give her name, said: “I’m 62 and I’ve learned one or two things from looking at them.
I must admit I kind of like them – it broadens the mind somewhat.”
