TUPPER LAKE — The ninth iteration of the annual Tupper Lake BrewSki returns this Saturday.
This is one of the largest events hosted in Tupper Lake each year, drawing more than a thousand attendees each year for the last several years.
At BrewSki, participants can cross-country ski or snowshoe to different stands along a 1.5-mile stretch of trail to sample the wares of regional breweries and distilleries. Fire pits are dispersed throughout the route.
For a $30 admission fee, skiers, snowshoers and imbibers can take to the James C. Frenette Sr. Recreational Trails in Tupper Lake from noon to 4 p.m.
The event is on “rain, mud, snow or shine,” according to Recreation Director for the town of Tupper Lake Laura LaBarge. For those without skis or snowshoes, walking is just fine. Participants should enter with IDs and screenshots of purchased tickets ready for review.
Last year’s BrewSki was just shy of 1,200 participants, plus a few hundred other attendees that didn’t require a ticket, such as children and designated drivers.
The list of vendors as of Tuesday included 20 businesses: Raquette River Brewing of Tupper Lake; Maple Brewing of Akwesasne; the Lake Placid Pub and Brewery, Big Slide Brewery, Woodboat Brewery and Adirondack Brewing Company of Lake Placid; Hex and Hop Brewing of Bloomingdale; Oval Craft Brewing and Valcour Brewing of Plattsburgh; Woodland Farm of Utica; Northway Brewing Co. of Queensbury; Livingoods of Peru; 1911 Established Distillery of Lafayette; Gristmill Brewery of Massena; Garland City Beer Works and Boots Brewing of Watertown; 1812 Brewing Co of Sackets Harbor; Ray Brook Brew House of Ray Brook; Nine Pin Cider of Albany; and The Wild Center, pouring their collaborative beer with Raquette River Brewing, Wild Lights Lager.
This is the second year that BrewSki has been organized by the town of Tupper Lake rather than the Tupper Lake Chamber of Commerce, which dissolved in 2022 due to a lack of members.

Fire and Ice Golf Tournament

The Fire and Ice Golf Tournament will run in conjunction with BrewSki on the Tupper Lake Golf Club’s driving range.
Teams of three can register for $30 beforehand or at the event. They will play a five-hole scramble with tennis balls) twice and turn in their best score for prize money.
