Borussia Dortmund have no concerns about Manchester United target Jadon Sancho’s trip back to England over the weekend and were informed of the getaway beforehand.

The 20-year-old winger got United fans excited on Saturday evening when he was filmed at a house party hosted by rap duo Krept and Konan, with many supporters hoping he was back in the UK to seal his long-rumbling transfer to Old Trafford.

Sancho flew to London just hours after a morning training session with Dortmund and is due back on Monday to begin the club’s pre-season training camp – which is also the deadline United have been given to complete the deal.

But far from going rogue to try and force a move, German newspaper Ruhr Nachrichten report that Dortmund were completely unfazed by the reports and were informed by Sancho beforehand that he would be making a flying visit back home.

The England international and a number of other foreign players – including Axel Witsel, Dan-Axel Zagadou and Thomas Meunier – were all granted permission to make trips back home in the one-and-a-half days off until the start of the training camp.

Dortmund will fly to Bad Ragaz in Switzerland on Monday morning to begin a pre-season boot camp and the German side had previously made it clear to United they wanted Sancho’s future sorted before that date.

But a breakthrough in talks does not appear to be on the horizon, with the two clubs still negotiating over the structure of the deal, so Sancho will link up with the rest of the squad in Switzerland.

Asked about the pictures from Sancho’s trip back to England, Dortmund’s director of media and communication Sascha Fligge said: ‘It’s common and fine for players to go home before a training camp if they’re not risky.

‘The same goes for Jadon. From our point of view, the pictures that have been shown to us so far do not violate.’

Dortmund are believed to be holding out for a fee of £108million for Sancho, which United are prepared to go to, but the two sides are struggling to agree terms on the structure of the deal – with BVB wanting more money up front – as well as add-ons.
