She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God. She loved her family, was a great cook and loved spending time on the farm with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ronald L. Morgan; her mother, Bonnie Louise (Graham) Benton; and a sister, Tammy Freeman.
Survivors include her husband of 19 years, Brad Sims of Elizabethtown; a son, Jason (Brooke) Morgan of Morganfield; a daughter, Amanda (Jimmy) Risinger of Elizabethtown; a stepson, Brandon (Heather) Sims of West Plains, Missouri; two brothers, Donnie Benton of Hodgenville and Gene Benton of Radcliff; a sister, Leslie Benton of Rineyville; six grandchildren, Alyssa Sims, Bradon “Tank” Sims, Laekin Risinger, Conner Morgan, Paislee Risinger and Paxton Morgan; and two half brothers, Mike and Keith Redden of Summerville, Tennessee.
The funeral is at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Brother Matthew Peters officiating. Burial follows in Lebanon Junction City Cemetery.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday and continues at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
