LONDON (Reuters) – Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey said he wanted to ensure that financial innovation, especially in the field of cryptocurrencies, did not undermine broader goals such as financial stability.
“There will inevitably be elements of tough love in such a process, and some disappointed ambitions, but I am confident that out of it will come a robust form of innovation,” Bailey told a conference hosted by finance body TheCityUK.
