Benefits: Which benefits are means-tested? Is Universal Credit means-tested?

Someone who has less than £16,000 in savings between them and their partner may be eligible for Universal Credit.

In most cases claimants must be aged 18 or over and under State Pension age to get Universal Credit.

Applications for Universal Credit will also take into account the claimant’s partner’s income and savings.

Further details on eligibility for Universal Credit can be found on the Government website HERE.
