Arsenal news LIVE: Elneny sale LATEST, Isak eyed to replace Lacazette, Luka Jovic potential move – transfer updates

Arsenal could join Newcastle in pursuing Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

And Bukayo Saka has been cleared to play at home to Aston Villa tomorrow night after limping off in Monday’s 2-2 comeback draw with Crystal Palace.

Calvert-Lewin was reportedly a summer target for Manchester United.

And the Gunners have also been linked with Villa’s Ollie Watkins.

Now, though, Arsenal are said to be weighing up moves for BOTH the England frontmen.

That means Mikel Arteta might go head to head with newly-rich Newcastle for Calvert-Lewin at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Galatasaray are said to be waiting for approval from the Gunners for a January swoop on midfielder Mohamed Elneny.

And wideman Saka is now tipped to start on Friday evening after Arsenal initially feared he had suffered serious injury against Palace.

The pacy England ace is one of four young Gunners who legendary ex-Arsenal keeper Jens Lehmann believes Arteta relies on.

The others are Emile Smith-Rowe, Kieran Tierney and Gabriel Martinelli.

German Lehmann told Bild: “There are four fantastic players.

“They are young, they are not yet in a position to take the club forward, but they always say the future is golden.”

But Lehmann fears Arsenal’s more experienced players need to deliver – “otherwise, everything is actually mediocre”.
