Arsenal legend David Seaman fears his old club has no chance of catching Tottenham in the Premier League this season and will be forced to cheer on Mauricio Pochettino’s side in tonight’s London derby against Chelsea.

Despite their defeat against Burnley on Saturday, Spurs remain seven points clear of the Gunners in third place and Seaman believes the Gunners have already been left scrapping with Chelsea and Manchester United for the last remaining Champions League qualifying spot.

Unai Emery’s team face Bournemouth at the Emirates this evening looking to record their third league win in a row ahead of Saturday’s north London derby, but their former goalkeeper admits he will have to support Spurs for one night only.

‘Only tonight and only for selfish reasons!’ he told talkSPORT.

‘I want Tottenham to win because I don’t think Arsenal, Chelsea, or Manchester United will catch them. The top three is sorted.

‘Obviously the next place is the most important for us, so that’s why I want Tottenham to take points off Chelsea tonight.’

All eyes will be on the Chelsea teamsheet ahead of kick-off with Maurizio Sarri deliberating over whether or not to drop Kepa Arrizabalaga after he was fined by the club for his antics during Sunday’s Carabao Cup final.

‘Kepa showed a lack of respect for his team-mates and his manager,’ Seaman added.

‘He was suspended from the goalkeepers’ union and placed on gardening leave after that reaction!’
