Apple's M2-powered MacBook Airs are up to $250 off – The Verge

The new M3-powered MacBook Pros are powerhouses: but if you just need a good all-around laptop for everyday computing needs, they might be overkill. It’s a better idea to save the money and opt for one of Apple’s entry-level models instead, especially as both are currently on sale. Right now, the 15-inch, M2-powered MacBook Air has returned to its best price of $1,049 ($250 off) at Amazon and Best Buy, while the 13-inch M2-equipped MacBook Air is $899 ($200 off) at Best Buy. Both are base models with 256GB SSD and 8GB of RAM.

The 15-inch MacBook Air boasts a larger and sharper 15.3-inch screen as well as a far better speaker array than the smaller model. Otherwise, though, both laptops are similar, with the same fantastic battery life, a pair of Thunderbolt 4 / USB-C ports, and support for MagSafe charging. Both also boast more than enough processing power to get you through a day of work and Netflix binging sessions, making each laptop a terrific jack of all trades.

Bluetooth location trackers make for good gifts if you’re on a budget, and right now Eufy’s Security SmartTrack Card is on sale for $19.99 ($10 off) at Amazon when you apply the on-page coupon. You can also buy it from the Eufy storefront when you use promo code WS24T87B2011, which is the best price we’ve seen since Black Friday when it was slightly cheaper at $16.99.

If you’re looking for a slim AirTag alternative, Eufy’s credit-card-sized SmartTrack Card is one of our favorites. It integrates well with Apple’s Find My network while being thin enough that you can easily slip it into your wallet. Plus, unlike the AirTag, the tracker comes with a small clip included, so you can attach it to laptop cases and other items without paying extra for, say, a holder like an AirTag Loop. Just bear in mind the tracker is not compatible with Android, so make sure your giftee is an iPhone owner before buying it.

Compared to their predecessor, the latest entry-level pair of AirPods are more workout-friendly with IPX4 sweat and water resistance. They still don’t offer noise cancellation or swappable ear tips for a customizable fit like the AirPods Pro, but they do feature similarly shorter stems. They also last longer than the last-gen AirPods while delivering better sound and improved voice quality.
