Apple is about to release a 16-inch MacBook we want but won’t be able to afford

It’s rare for mere mortals to get their hands on a MacBook with a screen larger than 13 inches because they tend to be very expensive.

So you might want to look away now if you’re prone to tech-envy because Apple is reportedly planning a super-powerful new Macbook Pro laptop with a whopping great 16-inch screen.

Bloomberg has claimed the device will be unleashed on Wednesday and will replace the current line of 15-inch Macbook Pro models.

It will cost a whopping $2,399 (which will probably work out to £2,399) and will be the most desirable Apple product released for a very long time.

Now, we all know about the exponential relationship between pleasure and extra inches.

Apple hasn’t released a mega-Macbook like this since 2012 when it discontinued a tea tray-sized 17-inch portable computer and its biggest current model has a 15-inch screen.

Rumours about the device were first issued by famed Apple analyst Ming Chi-Kuo, who is known for the mercilessly accurate nature of his predictions.

Apple’s new computer is expected to feature a new screen with technology which gives it ‘outstanding picture quality,’ he said according 9to5Mac.com.

Fans are hoping Apple will cut costs by removing the controversial ‘Touch Bar’ from its upcoming laptops.

This bar works a bit like a touchscreen, sitting at the top of the computer and performing various functions.

However, it was not met with unanimous critical applause and some customers might agree to do without it rather than that fork out more money for the device.
