Aggies Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors for 2021 Season – NMSU Aggies

NEW ORLEANS – For the second consecutive season, the NM State Track & Field and Cross Country programs have proven their talent on the field and in the classroom.

NM State women’s cross country was one of 168 teams named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team for the 2021 season. In 2020, the USTFCCCA named the NM State Track & Field Team to the list of All-Academic teams after cumulatively posting a 3.35 GPA.

To qualify, teams must have achieved at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale, including the recent grading period. Under first year head coach Joseph Rath, the Aggies put together a combined GPA of 3.44.

The Aggies ended their cross country season in Provo, Utah at the 2021 NCAA Mountain Regional, where All-WAC Second Teamers Maggie Gibbs and Richelle Sandin posted top-100 finishes.
