25K-member Facebook page for controversial Utah Business Revival group shut down – fox13now.com

SALT LAKE CITY — The leader of Utah Business Revival, a group that aims to support local businesses, albeit through often controversial means during the pandemic, says the group’s Facebook page has disappeared.

“The Utah Business Revival Group has been deleted by Facebook this morning. Didn’t give reason why. We just hit 25,000 members last night. So many hours ans resources spent. Everything gone overnight,” said Eric Moutsos in a public post on his Facebook profile. “Clearly helping small businesses in America is unacceptable for and threatens the agenda of the communists running this country, including big tech, the msm, and the deep state behind it all.”

The group gained nationwide attention for its Collin Raye concert in Cedar City, a “Blue Rally” in Salt Lake City, an Independence Day event in Kaysville and a “Trash Your Mask” protest event last month- all of which were held in violation of public health orders and guidelines.

Earlier this year, Facebook announced it has ramped up its efforts to combat misinformation regarding COVID-19 on its platform.

FOX 13 will update this story as further details become available.
