Two people were shot to death in Moreno Valley early Saturday, Aug. 31, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said.
The shooting was reported about 1:15 a.m. in the 24900 block of Sunnymead Boulevard, where deputies found two men with gunshot wounds, the Sheriff’s Department said. One man was pronounced dead at the scene; the other died at a hospital.
The victims were not immediately publicly identified.
No arrests have been announced.
The area is a business district with strip malls, restaurants, gas stations and motels.
Investigators have closed Sunnymead from the 60 Freeway westbound offramp to Perris Boulevard, and Perris Boulevard in both directions from Fir Avenue north to the 60 Freeway. There was no estimate on when the roads will reopen.
